High-end Concierge Care

FAQs

Concierge medicine is a type of healthcare where patients pay a monthly or annual fee to their provider for personalized, high-end medical care, including extended office visits, direct access to their provider, and much more. With Elite Medicine, you get concierge-level direct primary care, covering all common medical issues. Great medicine. Great care. Simplified Delivery. And unlike other concierge practices that operate on a retainer basis, your subscription includes all covered services. There is no additional fee for each visit.

In traditional fee-for-service healthcare, the provider bills the insurance company for services rendered at each patient visit, with the insurance company paying some part of the fees. With traditional insurance it is common to have co-pays, deductibles, and uncovered balances.

In contrast, with direct primary care (DPC) patients pay a membership fee to a primary care provider for comprehensive primary care services. Insurance is not involved, leading to a simplified, patient-centered approach to care with improved quality.

No. Insurance is encouraged (as below) but Elite Medicine does not accept nor file to insurance.

It is strongly encouraged that each member has health insurance. While Elite Medicine membership covers most care the average patient will require, it does not cover hospitalization, emergency care, or specialist care. Further, patients will often use their insurance for lab work, medical imaging, and prescription medicines.

It is our practice not to post pricing on our website. Please reach out directly to inquire. The first visit to discuss whether joining Elite Medicine is right for you is always free. Family memberships are encouraged, with slightly discounted rates.

Yes! However, for our clients to receive the attention they deserve, total patient volume is set very low in comparison to other primary care offices. We will maintain a waiting list once all spots are filled.

Anyone over the age of 5 is welcome to join and receive care. Younger ages will be considered, but we do not currently stock routine childhood immunizations. Patients with Medicare are welcomed, though they must attest that they are aware that Medicare will not be billed by Elite Medicine, nor can our fees be submitted to Medicare for reimbursement at any point.

Wherever you are! Elite Medicine is built around the idea of exceptional care for a small number of Triangle patients. When an in-person visit is required, we will come to your home, office, or other location and complete the visit. Whenever possible, we will use telemedicine for follow-up appointments, check-ins, and visits that do not require a hands-on exam. A brick-and-mortar office is in the planning stages.

To enroll, contact us directly and we will begin the patient intake process and set up your first appointment! The first appointment is free and to discuss if Elite Medicine is right for you. This initial visit can be done via video call if desired.

Often patients are able to use their HSA to cover subscription fees. Prospective patients are

encouraged to investigate this prior to joining. Elite Medicine will provide receipts as needed for those wishing to file their own HSA paperwork.

Dr. Hobbs is fluent in Spanish and welcomes the opportunity to care for patients for whom Spanish is their primary language.
