Minor procedures: Selected procedures are included with Elite Medicine membership. These include large joint injections, skin tag removal, skin biopsies, foreign body removal from the skin, nose or ears, and others. On rare occasions, urgent/emergent procedures may be performed at the discretion and availability of the practice. These urgent/emergent procedures may include: minor surgery such as abscess drainage, ingrown nail removal, or laceration repair, and others. For complex procedures that take more than 15 minutes, patients may incur an additional charge.
Point-of-care diagnostic testing: Selected point-of-care testing is included in the Elite Medicine membership, such as rapid influenza, Strep, and Covid testing, urinalysis and urine drug screens, pregnancy testing, stool testing for blood, fingerstick glucose, ear wax removal, electrocardiogram (EKG), as well as vital sign monitoring (blood pressure, pulse oximetry, others). More complex testing will be ordered by Elite Medicine as needed, though may require services of local lab or imaging providers.
Controlled substances: As a rule, Elite Medicine will provide controlled substance prescriptions, but on a limited and case-by-case basis. Patients requiring continued opiate medications for their care will likely be referred to a chronic pain specialist.
